In the village of Sortosville-en-Beaumont, you’ll find the famous Maison du Biscuit. This wonderful shop brimming with delicious treasures also has a tearoom. Lait douceur de Normandie

Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte

Step through the door of this old stone farmhouse and breathe in the aroma of confiture de lait (caramelised milk) bubbling away in the workshop next door. Sit back in a comfy old sofa and sample the Normandy afternoon tea, with brioche, jam and apple juice. Or in summer, treat yourself and your family to an ice cream in the garden.

Oh Happy Thé

Saint-Lô

In the church square in the centre of Saint-Lô, step back in time at Oh Happy Thé, a sweet little tearoom with a lovely atmosphere where you can happily while away a few hours. The decor is vintage, cosy and decidedly British! You’ll be spoilt for choice with all the different teas and home-made cakes that look as good as they taste: colourful cupcakes, light cheesecakes and other treats, one made with Carambar sweets and another with marshmallow bears! In nice weather, you can sit outside in the pretty courtyard.

Don’t miss this tearoom and bookshop in the centre of Cherbourg, a great place to enjoy a nice coffee while you lose yourself in a book recommended by Anne-Laure.
