With its "Espace Cyclosport" label, the French Cycling Federation wishes to develop the practice of cycling. Including the English Channel in this programme is a real guarantee of quality for cycling enthusiasts. The labelled itineraries are sponsored by local champions to help you discover their training grounds.
The circuit of the South Channel, full of false flats, climbs, beautiful flat but also steep roads, will make you work on your endurance. It also lends itself to more specific exercises, such as split training for example.
It all starts in Avranches with a first straight section at the top of the ridge to cross the Channel in its width. You will be halfway around Mortain! In summer, it is the opportunity to go down to the waterfalls to refresh yourself and enjoy the place.
You will quickly reach the bay of Mont Saint-Michel afterwards. The final climb will require you to draw on your last resources... As a reward, enjoy the view of the Wonder from the Jardin des Plantes.
