Domaine de Rugueville

The Rugueville estate produces on a surface of 5 to 6 hectares of land, with low stem and high stem apple trees.
All our products are 100% artisanal. Approved BIO

- Raw and semi-dry organic cider
- Pommeau
- Calvados
- Organic apple juice
- Organic cider vinegar

Starting from a passion for apple trees at the age of 25, following the construction of our house in the middle of a field planted with tall apple trees, I began to make cider for our family consumption.
The opportunity to acquire 5 hectares of farmland around the house in 1993-1994 triggered the start of the artisanal plantation and the production of cider, pommeau and Calvados.
The development was done by word of mouth and followed by gold and silver medals at the general competition of the Salon de l'Agriculture.
The volumes have only increased over the years.
Out of conviction, I switched to organic farming in 2009, while putting in nests for chickadees (which eat hundreds of aphids), introducing ladybugs, as well as beehives, because bees help the pollination of apple trees.
To all this, it was necessary to give an identity and as everywhere in France, one speaks only about castles or domains, it was easy for us to name this place "Le Domaine de Rugueville", without pretention just to have fun since our passion is fun.

Today, my greatest satisfaction is to see this passion continue with the arrival of Nicolas who is taking over the domain and will give a new impulse to the development of the cider house.
