Join us on November 16 at 8:30pm at the Saint-Lô theater for the show "Car tous les chemins y menent" by the Basile Forest complementary association.
It's a tragic, musical and burlesque circus solo. It's Bizet's opera Carmen, based on the memories of an eccentric violinist. We follow the physical, mental and emotional peregrinations of a character in the image of his violin, capable of uncommon ardor and power, but at the same time terribly fragile and sensitive, trying to play Carmen. Where comedy leads to tragedy, where fate is the key, and freedom the main issue? Circus has always been linked to music. Often, one relies on the other, one follows the other, and the performers are carried or supported by the music. Here, circus performance and musical interpretation are at the service of the same emotions, with neither taking a back seat or accompanying the other. It's all about the fusion of music and performance, by a single performer, around a single instrument.
