it's the story of a man, a people, a music, a religion and humanity... One sleepless night, a demon-ridden child discovers Bob Marley. A discovery that would change his life.
Bob & moi is a captivating journey from Kingston to Miami, via Europe and Africa, which allows us to (re)discover - far from preconceived ideas - the facets of Jamaica, the cradle of reggae and the Rastafari movement. Alexandre Virapin tells the story of how a man from the Jamaican ghetto became a legend for his musical genius and his message of peace and unity. What was the life of Robert Nesta Marley, the man behind the legend? His story becomes our story, seen and told through the eyes of this 10-year-old child full of doubts and anxieties about life. This child will grow up and build his own life in a cross-fertilization with Bob?s story, carrying with him his share of lessons, philosophy and rebellion...
