Thomas Quillardet is an associate artist at Le Trident. We left him with Une télévision française, a fresco on the privatization of TF1, with 10 actors hosted on the set of the Italienne.
With En Addicto, Thomas Quillardet changes gear!

Following a six-month residency in the addictology department of a hospital in the Paris region, commissioned by the Festival d?Automne à Paris, Thomas Quillardet directs and performs the story of his experience. A show about patients and caregivers, but also about the state of public hospitals. What can be said between patients trying to wean themselves off drugs, a director and overworked carers?

Without pathos, without judgment, but with humor and a formidable humanity, Thomas Quillardet gives voice to a gallery of characters, in turn funny, ham-handed, suffering, in bad faith, and always on their feet. With liveliness and lightness, without ever giving a lesson, he tells us stories about alcohol, drugs and life. What does it mean to be an addict?

The show will premiere in Paris at the Festival d'Automne in November 2023.
