A site to understand the men, the nature and the landscapes of the Bay.
On the shoreline with a breathtaking view of the Mont Saint-Michel, the Ecomuseum of the Bay is an interpretation center that allows you to discover the functioning of the natural environments of the Bay, the way in which man has exploited these very particular spaces for centuries and the evolution of the landscapes through the ages.
Explore the fauna and flora throughout the seasons as well as the characteristics of the different natural environments. The preservation of these balances constitutes today a major stake for this space registered with the world heritage of UNESCO. Man lives in this environment and has always exploited its riches. In the past, he extracted salt by an original process that has now disappeared. The workshop of the salt worker makes discover again this ancestral technique.
The once very active professional fishing on foot is now gradually being replaced by new activities such as the breeding of oysters, mussels and salt meadow sheep. The objects collected on the territory (fishing gear, nets...) tell you this local history.
All these spaces are decorated with films, models, interactive terminals are within the reach of young and old.

Last ticket sale 1 hour before the site closes.
