Watercolors.
Isabelle Issaverdens has always been passionate about drawing and never travels without a sketchbook in her pocket, so much does she love to translate her emotions with spontaneity. She discovered late the joys of watercolor, the infinite possibilities it offers to translate the transparency, the light, the lightness of landscapes and skies, the freshness and the delicacy of flowers and faces, the nobility or the charm of architectures.
She likes to give the brush the freedom and delicacy she gives to the pencil; she likes to work in the wet, alternating between washes and glazes, making melts and sharp shapes cohabit. More than the precise representation of a subject, she seeks to tell a story by dynamically composing the different elements of this subject.
The small and large animals of our regions deserve an exhibition. Isabelle Issaverdens pays tribute to them in this series of portraits, accompanied by the rich and varied landscapes that surround them.
