Israel's first world music group, Yamma Ensemble is dedicated to interpreting ancient and modern Hebrew music. Blending the sounds of contemporary instruments with those of typical ancient instruments - duduk, ney, kopuz, oud, shofar - it presents both original contemporary compositions and traditional songs from all over the Jewish diaspora, including the Jewish communities of Yemen, Iraq and Spain. This soulful music highlights the rich musical heritage and spirituality of the cultures to which the ensemble belongs.
