La Hague represents 2.1 billion years of Earth history
half of our planet?s history, told in its subsoil and on its coastline
coastline. The oldest rocks in France, the roots of three mountain ranges
of three mountain ranges, the remains of explosive volcanic eruptions and climate archives
preserved for 220,000 years. La Hague is also home to landscapes, architecture,
and local produce, shaped, created, imagined and realized by mankind
that underline the expression of this exceptional land. Throughout this
exhibition, geologist-photographer and author Arnaud Guérin takes you on an incredible
journey through time, discovering La Hague. Original images
brought back from the four corners of the globe illustrate the phenomena that have marked
history. In this exhibition, images and landscapes are the gateway
the gateway to a fantastic story worthy of the best Jules Verne novels
