What effects will climate change have on marine biology in the Channel?
Lecture by Jean-Claude Dauvin, Professor Emeritus at the University of Caen Normandy, member of the Normandy IPCC, on the theme of marine biodiversity in the Channel.
The Écomusée de la Baie du Mont Saint-Michel welcomes Mr. Jean-Claude DAUVIN on Friday October 13, 2023 at 7pm for a conference on the state and evolution of marine biodiversity in relation to climate change. Mr. DAUVIN will first present the current state of knowledge on species, habitats and marine ecosystems in the Channel Sea. Secondly, he will describe their evolution in the wake of climate change.
Finally, the basis for the climate changes expected by the end of the 21st century will be proposed. In conclusion, the main challenges for marine biodiversity in the Channel will be put forward.
