As part of the "Jazz in the Meadows" festival, rendez-vous on July 23 at the André Leduc hall in Rémilly-les-Marais, for a concert by the group Atlantis.
A dive in fresh waters!
Led by the voice of Deborah Lennie, tireless gold digger, Atlantis invites you to dive into its intoxicating, tender and mysterious jazz-folk repertoire. Original compositions based on texts by Emily Dickinson, E.E. Cummings, W.H. Auden..., a few arranged jazz standards, pieces borrowed fiercely from Joni Mitchell, Tim Buckley... offer a choice playground to the quartet. The talents of François Chesnel, Patrice Grente, Etienne Ziemniak are deployed and offer a setting to the superb voice, bewitching, of Deborah.
Atlantis develops an intense music... polishes, sculpts, draws its own canvas which reveals itself fully when it is exposed. Their first album was recorded in the studio of La Buissonne in December 2022, you will be the first to hear it.
Atlantis is composed of Deborah Lennie on vocals, François Chesnel on piano, Patrice Grente on double bass and Étienne Ziemniak on drums.
