Jazz sous les Pommiers from 5 to 12 May


Don’t miss this internationally renowned music festival.

Jazz Sous les Pommiers features a highly eclectic line-up including New Orleans jazz, electronic music, blues, gypsy jazz, swing, funk, soul, world music and song…

The 2018 edition will also showcase Ethio jazz and water percussion.


Numerous concerts will be held in the town’s theatres and concert venues and on temporary stages in the streets. Also discover ‘La scène déménage’, a stage showcasing ‘jazz and contemporary music’ in the Magic Mirrors tent.

At Jazz Sous les Pommiers, headline acts and amateur musicians will both be part of the line-up.


All acts have yet to be revealed. However, some of the featured artists you’ll be able to see include:


- Ahmad Jamal, a recent Grammy Award winner

- Raphaël Imbert, in the prestigious setting of the cathedral

- Anne Paceo

- Trio Da Kali & Kronos Quartet, appearing for the first time in Europe

- Émile Parisien (French Best Jazz Formation in 2017)  quintet avec Joachim Kühnu, , one of the fathers of contemporary jazz

- Arat Kilo featuring Mamani Keita and Mike Ladd

- Grand Orchestre du Tricot, a tribute to Lucienne Boyer

- José James, an icon of contemporary black music

- Ensemble Art Sonic

- Rhoda Scott & Ladies All Star formation

- Christian McBride Big Band

- Stacey Kent

- Akutuk, for a bare-handed water percussion concert (at Coutances swimming pool)

- Sylvain Luc quintet

- Alban Darche & Atomic Flonflons Orchestra, an orchestra comprising 70 amateur Norman musicians

- Mare Nostrum


The full festival programme will be unveiled on 20 February. Tickets for festival card holders will go on sale from 31 March.  All other tickets and passes go on sale 14 April.
