From the West coast or the East coast, cruise the waters of la Manche aboard a passenger boat, a yacht or an old sailing boat. Escape for the day or for the week end to the Chausey Islands, the Channel Islands or Tatihou Island. Lesser-known islets – often uninhabited or inaccessible – speckle the waters of la Manche: Les Ecréhous and Les Minquiers are two small archipelagos among them. The St Marcouf Islands have restricted access, and were deserted a long time ago. However, the fortifications on the island are currently undergoing restoration.
