Christian Dior and Granville, Roots of a Legend

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the fashion house! In 1947, Christian Dior put on his first fashion show in Paris; it was a resounding success.

Christian Dior’s family home in Granville was a key source of inspiration for the designer throughout his career. He spent his early childhood in the house and returned to Granville on holiday throughout his youth. It was here that Christian Dior forged his personality of a dreamer and entrepreneur, with a Normandy heart! In 1946, he began his career with his friends from Granville.

The exhibition "Roots of a Legend" invites you to discover the work of the great designer and the role of the house, Les Rhumbs, in his career.

Come and visit the privateer town of Granville and the exhibition at the Christian Dior Museum in Granville: a display on the artist’s attachment to his Normandy origins.
